Every inch of Mesya and Yusri`s wedding was incredibly enhanting. This sweet couple tied the knot in an elegant Sundanese and culturally rich wedding. Mesya and Yusri’s wedding seen in colonial culture and peranakan culture. “Kayas Gading dan Pulas Kopi” is a wedding theme chosen by Mesya and Yusri. The wedding theme was inspired by colors in the Sundanese tradition. Kayas and Gading which means pink and Golden white which is identified with women while Pulas Kopi which means Light Brown identified with Men. Both Colors we consider symbolizing the union of two people. Kayas Gading and Pulas Kopi also hinted the color theme becomes the red thread Mesya and Yusri`s wedding with the selection of pastel colors.
Graha Tirta Siliwangi was the perfect venue for Mesya and Yusri`s wedding with a vintage approach to complement the colonial and Peranakan vibe. The decoration presented an oriental chic furniture, porcelain vases, lush floral arrangements and batik pesisir (coastal batik) patterns for the wedding. The batik pattern showcases the acculturation of Chinese and local cultures which is characterize the Peranakan identity. The bride looked like princess in her beautiful wedding gown. While the groom looked dashing in a brown suit, paired with a white shirt and brown leather shoe. Completing the whole atmosphere, they asked their guests to come in traditional kebaya and batik. The wedding showcasing an extraordinary depth in Mesya and Yusri`s big day.
